How to Write the Perfect Pitch.

When creating a pitch for anything, it is important to follow these important steps so it can sound smooth, consistent, and well-grounded.

Keep It Short

When writing a PR pitch, it is important to keep it short and simple. No one wants to read more than 5 sentences because it becomes wordy, and the reader gets bored. The first sentence you put into your pitch is what needs to sell. If you can say everything in just a couple of sentences, the reader can become more intrigued.

Think of the Perfect Subject Line

With the subject line, you must tell a story. If given the right context of your email into that sentence, it gives the recipient an opportunity to know what to expect. If it is short and simple, the recipient might think of it as junk mail and delete it rather than opening it. Do not skip on this step because it is crucial.

Make It Relevant to the Recipient

It is important to do research on the recipient before just sending an email of a pitch. That way, when writing your email, you can add what makes it relevant for the recipient. If you add that kind of connection, the reader will find it more interesting and believes there is purpose on why he/she should work with you and email back.
